Join The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Bexar County, and the City of San Antonio for VIVA! San Antonio 2009, San Antonio's Legislative Day in Austin, Tuesday, February 17, 2009. VIVA San Antonio is a biennial legislative advocacy day for business and industry leaders in San Antonio to visit with legislators at the Texas State Capitol in Austin. The day features: A Kickoff Luncheon in the Thompson Auditorium of the Texas Medical Association, located at 401 W. 15th St. Afternoon Issue Meetings with legislators at the Capitol for the following issue teams: - Economic Development - Health Care - Higher Education - Military - Public Education - Small Business - Transportation - Tourism - Water A complimentary Fiesta-themed Evening Reception with legislators at Serrano's Restaurant, located at Red River and 11th St. Individuals: $40 - Chamber Members $55 - Prospective Members *If you are unable to attend the luncheon, attendance to the issue meetings and the reception are free of charge. MAP: All participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Austin. Parking is available at the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage located at 12th and San Jacinto. A shuttle will be available from 5:00-8:00 p.m. for transportation to and from the East Entrance of The Capitol and the reception at Serrano's.
