The Chamber's Work, Program Areas
The Chamber has been serving businesses in San Antonio since 1894. Our goal is to continuously improve the business climate and build opportunities for growth for San Antonio and our region. We accomplish this through programs focused on advocacy, economic development, events, and direct services to our members.
The Chamber's services are structured in five program areas:
Image and Communications - which informs all members of Chamber events and resources. The program area manages web site content, public/media relations, photography and corporate identity.
Public Affairs - which works with our members and elected officials at the local, county, state and federal levels to develop pro-business advocacy positions.
Economic Development - which helps to develop economic growth in our key industries: health care, manufacturing, information technology, financial services, military, hospitality/tourism and many more.
Membership Development - which enlists and engages all members in making the most of their Chamber membership, including networking opportunities and networking events.
Chamber Events - which provides all of the planning and processing of the Chamber events held throughout the year.
