David McGee | President/CEO of AmegyBank- San Antonio
The Economic Development Council supports San Antonio's targeted industries consisting of  aerospace, hospitality and tourism, military, information technology, health care & bioscience and manufacturing. The Council also organizes the Economic Outlook Conference, Celebrate America's Military (CAM) and the annual SA to DC trip.

Aerospace

Thomas Moore | Senior Research Engineer at Southwest Research Institute
Provides a forum for educating the community on issues of importance to the aerospace industry. This committee influences public policy at the local, state and federal level to encourage continued industry growth and job creation.

Celebrate America's Military

Tom Rogers | Senior Manager of San Antonio Defense Accounts for Deloitte Consulting
Coordinates the annual salute to the military, which occurs in November and involves more than a dozen events. CAM is recognized as the nation's largest community-wide celebration of its kind, involving 200,000 people over an 11-day period.

Health Care and Bioscience

Patrick Carrier | President and CEO of Christus Santa Rosa Health System
Educates the community on the importance and impact of the local health care & bioscience industry. This committee advocates for critical issues affecting these industries and supports plans and programs designed to grow and sustain them.

Information Technology

John Vann | Vice President Infrastructure Operations and Support at Valero Energy
Leads the implementation of San Antonio Area Cyber Action Plan to further establish and promote cyber education, workforce development, cyber research and development, and collaborations among local cyber government, business and academic entities.

Military Affairs

Don Taylor | President of TEAM Integrated Engineering, Inc.
Promotes San Antonio by engaging the greater San Antonio community and especially its business community to demonstrably celebrate, support, maintain and grow the military presence in San Antonio. The committee will continue to partner with the city's Military Transformation Task Force (MTTF) and support the military's base realignment and closure actions.

Economic Analysis Panel

Travis Tullos | Director-Special Projects at Texas Perspectives will lead the Economic Analysis Panel
Promotes San Antonio by engaging the greater San Antonio community and especially its business community to demonstrably celebrate, support, maintain and grow the military presence in San Antonio. The committee will continue to partner with the city's Military Transformation Task Force (MTTF) and support the military's base realignment and closure actions.

Education & Workforce Development Council

David Crouch | Vice President, Administration Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas
Members of this panel represent various components of the San Antonio economy such as real estate, housing, the airport, employment, etc.  The panel prepares a quarterly business forecast that charts the growth and predicts the direction of the region's economy. A media conference is scheduled at the end of each quarter to report on the overall health of the local economy.

Membership/Marketing/Communications Council

Tom Netting, General Manager of the Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency Hotels
Researches, evaluates and provides direction on how to brand and market The Chamber to members, promotes the benefits of Chamber membership and directs the annual Membership Campaign.

Chamber Ambassadors

Rhonda Boyles, | Director, Career Services, Our Lady of the Lake University
Provides ceremonial assistance to members at commemorative events such as grand openings, ground breakings and re-dedication ceremonies. Participation as an Ambassador provides opportunities for business networking and community outreach.

Retention Committee

Pedro Mercado, Director of Sales for Execupay
Reaches out to new and long-time members in order to increase involvement and retention. This committee develops initiatives to increase the value that members receive from their investment.

Public Affairs Council

John Carlson, Senior Vice President, Texas District Manager of Sundt Construction
The Public Affairs Council is responsible for gather input from Chamber committees, members and partnering organizations and voicing the concerns and position of the business community to local, state, and federal elected officials and government agencies.

Energy & Sustainability Committee

Diana Liebmann, Partner at Haynes and Boone
Identifies and supports long-term, cost-effective energy sources and policies to promote sustainability for economic growth in our community.

Legislative Committee

Julie Klumpyan, Director Government Affairs at Valero Energy Corporation
Researches, discusses and implements The Chamber's priorities dealing with the Texas State Legislature during legislative sessions, special sessions as well as during the interims. The Committee is responsible for the creation and implementation of The Chamber's state and federal legislative agendas and focuses on issues that impact San Antonio's business climate.

Transportation Committee

Howard Hicks, Vice President of Marketing for Holt Cat
Advocates for new and innovative methods of transportation funding that satisfy the transportation needs of San Antonio and the region. This includes leading efforts to advocate for the Lone Star Rail District, the Alamo Regional Mobility Authority Board and the San Antonio Mobility Coalition.

Water Committee

Mari Garza-Bird, Vice President of CDM
Works to identify and support long-term political solutions to ensure an adequate, affordable quality supply of water on a regional basis.
