Safely enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown San Antonio

During the Chamber’s One City Celebration in early December, our 2021 Chamber Chair of the Board Hope Andrade shared our One City priority and invited residents to enjoy the history and culture of our wonderful downtown area, while practicing safe social distancing, wearing masks, and washing hands with soap and water frequently. At the heart of our One City initiative is revitalizing downtown San Antonio’s industries and restoring them to their pre-COVID success. To that end, your Chamber is committed to sharing information about what is happening downtown and highlighting the wonderful businesses who are anxiously awaiting your visit.

The Riverwalk
We heard this week that the Riverwalk lights will be on display through Valentine’s Day this year, giving you extra time to head to the River to see the beautiful and magical light display along the Riverwalk.

San Antonio | The Saga

And, while you are downtown, stop by Main Plaza to for a showing of San Antonio | The Saga, a world-class video art projection on the façade of the San Fernando Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the United States. You can catch the projection four nights a week, three times a night on Main Plaza.

  • Saturday: 9:00 PM, 9:30 PM, and 10:00 PM
  • Sunday: 7:30 PM, 8:00 PM, and 8:30 PM

Culinaria
San Antonio is only one of two cities in the country designated as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.  In our opinion, the Alamo City is home to some of the best restaurants and food in the world (we’re looking at you, breakfast tacos), so we were excited to learn that Culinaria Restaurant Weeks will run through January 31. Throughout the month, patrons can enjoy three-course lunch menus for $20 and dinner menus priced at $35 and $45. Because restaurants are limiting capacity to 50 percent, to-go and curbside pickup is available also. If you wish to dine in, reservations are required!

For a full list of participating restaurants, visit culinariasa.org.

We look forward to sharing fun and interesting things to do around San Antonio, and we encourage you to share photos of you and your family safely enjoying your city on social media. Tag us @sachamber and use #onecitySA.
