Please join us for a virtual event Food for Thought: Food Insecurity’s Impact on Children’s Education on October 5 at noon. Food insecurity has long been an issue for San Antonio, and the pandemic amplified the challenges of providing nutritious meals to our families and young people. In partnership with Boeing, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host a panel discussion about what is being done in our community to address this problem. Join us and learn more about how you can help our community’s hungry, food-insecure students, too.
- Tyler Schroeder, Manager State & Local Government Operations at Boeing – Moderator
- U.S. Representative Joaquin Castro, Texas’s 20th District
- Dr. Mike Villarreal, Director of UTSA’s Urban Education Institute
- Jessica Weaver, Chief Executive Officer for Communities in Schools San Antonio
