Excite your inner adventurer in South Africa with your Chamber family during March 2018! Our Spring International Trip will start out in Johannesburg, the largest city in South Africa and the financial hub of the country. The following day, prepare for an exciting safari ride in Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s leading game sanctuaries that covers more than 7,700 square miles of land between the Crocodile River in the south and the Limpopo in the north. The Park also boasts the greatest species diversity in Africa with more than 140 resident mammal species, including the iconic Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino). A 4×4 vehicle gives you nearly unlimited photo opportunities to snap pictures of zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, wild dog and vast antelope herds.
Then we’ll explore the wine-producing region of the Cape Winelands, visit picturesque vineyard estates and sample some of the finest South African wines. We’ll also stroll through Stellenbosch, a charming vineyard village boasting splendidly preserved Cape Dutch and Georgian-Victorian architecture.
Next, we will discover scenic Cape Town. This once colonial settlement is one of the world’s most picturesque tourist destinations and most beautiful cities. Snug between hilly mountains and pristine white beaches, Cape Town is often called the cosmopolitan hub of Africa. Here, you will see one of the region’s most dramatic panoramic views over the city.
You will also visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Before heading home, you have the option to extend your trip to Victoria falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world.
If you like action, adventure, and wildlife, then you’re going to flat-out love this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
The trip will be March 10-19, 2018, at an amazingly low price of $3,999 for members and $4,299 for non-members.
