The National Museum of the Pacific War (NMPW) is hosting its fifth webinar in a series on the final months of WWII in honor of the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII this year. This edition is entitled “The Terrible End: The Battle of Okinawa” and will feature noted historian and author, John C. McManus. As the webinar series has gathered momentum over the past couple of months – with now hundreds of live attendees – NMPW has further expanded its reach by collaborating with other museums across the country to present archival material as part of the program.
Collaborating museums include the Pritzker Military Museum and Library in Chicago, IL, the Military History Institute of the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle Barracks, PA, and the Cushing Memorial Library & Archives at Texas A&M University in College Station.
The webinar is free, but registration is required. Visit the NMPW website to learn more about the webinar series.
