With the unemployment rate at a record low, businesses often face the challenge of attracting and retaining hardworking team members. However, there is a group of passionate and productive individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) who are trained, ready, and excited to work.
The Project Ability Summit is a unique event for businesses to learn and discuss effective ways to strengthen your workforce by tapping the talent of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Attendees will get an overview of State data highlighting workforce opportunities. The program will feature panel discussions with business representatives and government agencies addressing experiences, challenges, resources, myths, benefits and rewards of recruiting and hiring from the IDD community.
There will be an opportunity for attendees to have facilitated small group discussions about practical concerns and best practices.
Participants will leave event with resources outlining where to go to begin recruiting from this talented community.
Join us for a conversation about tapping into the talent pipeline of individuals with special abilities.
