Join the Chamber Ambassadors as they celebrate Solid Waste Management Department Anniversary  Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday,  November 15th, 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to begin at 10:20 a.m.

The City of San Antonio Solid Waste Management Department’s Recycling and Resource Recovery Plan includes the goal to “improve recycling opportunities for commercial businesses in San Antonio.” While the City does not provide waste collection services to the business community in San Antonio, we still want to help your business implement a recycling plan that could improve your bottom line and provide other benefits to your organization.

To help businesses overcome the obstacles to recycling, the SWMD Commercial Recycling Team is ready to help your organization. Our team offers services that are tailored to meet the specific needs of your business. We will work with you at your pace and help prioritize your recycling objectives by offering: Free on-site consultations to help identify opportunities for waste prevention, reduction, and recycling opportunities. Free waste assessment to help you understand your waste stream and identify your recycling potential. Free employee and management training on waste prevention, reduction, and recycling topics.

This will be a networking event where we introduce our initiatives and discuss recycling in San Antonio. We are looking to have vendors there who produce or re-purpose things made of recyclable materials. Nov. 15th also corresponds to America Recycles Day.
