A preeminent voice for principled conservative policies both in Texas and across the nation, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick presided over what have been called the most conservative and productive sessions of the State Senate in Texas history. Lt. Governor Patrick continues to be a champion for reducing business and property taxes, tackling Texas’ infrastructure challenges, education reform, and securing our border.
With the Texas 87th Legislative Session just months away, San Antonio Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Richard Perez will sit down with Lt. Governor Patrick to discuss the states $4.6 billion deficit, Senate’s legislative priorities and his thoughts on limiting liability for businesses that reopen during the pandemic.
Patrick was first elected to represent the Texas Senate’s Seventh District in 2006 and re-elected in 2010. During his time in the Texas Senate he served as Chair of the powerful Senate Education Committee, tackling the problems of failing schools and giving parents more choices for their children. Patrick was first elected Lt. Governor of Texas in 2014 and re-elected in 2018.
