For 40 years, San Antonio business, military and community leaders have advocated on behalf of the needs of this great city and its residents together in Washington, DC. We invite you to be a part of this tradition for our community and join us for our 41st annual SA to DC trip scheduled for February 4-7, 2019. Check out pictures from previous SA to DC trip!
The 2019 delegation will be co-led by Kathy Garcia, VP of Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy for CPS Energy, and Juan Antonio Flores, Executive Vice President of Government Affairs at Port San Antonio. We invite you to join more than 100 other San Antonians in 2019 to make a mark on Washington.
We have worked together this past year to advocate for some of the most pressing national issues, such as trade, research and transportation funding, among many others. It is critical that we remain engaged in the legislative process. In 2018, we successfully secured $10 million to replace the aging air traffic control tower at Kelly Field, $1.5 million for Mitchell Lake improvements, and $15 million for reimbursements to Bexar County for Mission Reach Ecosystem Restoration and Recreation Project. These achievements—among many others—are a direct result of the collaborative efforts of our participants.
Your presence will be invaluable as we advocate for major issues that affect the competitive future of San Antonio. We will meet with Members of Congress and Administration officials, and have an opportunity to spend time with other business and community leaders from San Antonio.
We would like to thank our 2019 partners: The North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, The San Antonio Mobility Coalition, and The South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
