Like many cities around the country, San Antonio is experiencing an affordable housing crisis that has been exacerbated with the historic pandemic. With anticipated million more people moving to San Antonio in the approaching decade, there is an urgent need to address the crisis with a strategic, compassionate plan that is equitable and sustainable.
SAHA is hosting an all-day virtual symposium to address the housing crisis and to identify innovative solutions engaging our community stakeholders and expand these partnerships as part of SAHA 2025, a five-year strategic plan to address the affordable housing needs in San Antonio.
The SAHA 2025 symposium includes individual sessions for the following outcomes:
- SAHA residents live in quality affordable housing,
- SAHA residents feel safe
- SAHA residents have access to affordable utilities SAHA residents have a sufficient supply of affordable housing options
- SAHA residents have sufficient food, water, and clothing.
Join us for this community discussion with residents, our city’s business leaders, policymakers and the San Antonio community and be part of the conversation in defining the best way to meet the affordable housing needs of San Antonio.
