Know me. is the theme for 2021 and CAMP plans to showcase stories of inspiration from campers, families, volunteers, and healthcare professionals. Guest Speakers include Chris Nikic, Dr. John Melville, and stories from families impacted by CAMP’s mission. Special Olympian Chris Nikic, at 21 years old, entered the Guinness Book of World Records by becoming the first person with Down syndrome to complete an Ironman race. Chris will share his inspirational story during the Gala! Dr. John will recount a series of moments on his journey from a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy to his present position as an associate professor and chief of Child Abuse Pediatrics. Dr. John is one of CAMP’s “Top Docs” and we can’t wait to hear his story during the Gala!
Join CAMP in honoring Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas during the 2021 Virtual Gala. This event is free and open to the public. The 13th annual Starry Night CAMP Gala will be virtual in 2021 to allow even more people to celebrate together but remain socially distanced depending on their comfort level. Pre-Gala events start at 6:00 pm, and the official Gala program will kick off at 7:00 pm.
