Robert Steven Kaplan has served as the 13th president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas since September 8, 2015. He represents the Eleventh Federal Reserve District on the Federal Open Market Committee in the formulation of U.S. monetary policy and oversees the 1,200 employees of the Dallas Fed.
As one of twelve regional Reserve Banks in the Federal Reserve System, the Dallas Fed serves the Eleventh Federal Reserve District, which consists of Texas, northern Louisiana and southern New Mexico.
The mission is to serve the public by providing regional, national and global perspectives that inform and influence monetary policy, by fostering financial stability and economic health, and by delivering quality services to financial institutions and the United States government.
The San Antonio Branch extends the reach of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in central and south Texas by partnering with local communities and businesses, conducting regional economic research, and advancing the safety and soundness of financial institutions across the region.
