The Chamber’s Chairman of the Board Renée Flores and President and CEO Richard Perez testified last week in favor of City Manager Sheryl Sculley’s contract during the City Council meeting where Council Members voted to approve an amendment to the City Manager’s employment agreement. We are pleased that the item passed; however, it did not pass unanimously. Councilman Cris Medina, Councilman Ray Lopez, and Councilwoman Shirley Gonzales voted against the amendment. The approved amendment includes a three-year extension to the City Manager’s contract, giving her annual $25,000 base-wage increases and the opportunity to earn as much as $100,000 each year in performance bonuses.
