The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate the SA Works team on receiving the Champion of the Year award from the Career and Technical Education Administrators of Texas (CTAT). CTAT recognizes partners who excel at promoting Career and Tech education in Texas annually, showing that SA Works’ efforts have not gone unnoticed.
CTAT divides their awards across Texas into multiple regions with San Antonio and the surrounding area making up CTAT Area 7. Chris Preetorius, Workforce Development Director at Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., is the Area 7 recipient of the Business Leader of the Year award while H-E-B is being honored as Area 7’s Business of the Year.
The celebration may not end here for SA Works. Winning Champion of the Year makes them eligible for CTAT’s statewide awards which will be selected and presented at their annual summer conference this July. If SA Works is selected as CTAT’s state Champion of the Year, they would represent Texas nationally in the next level of these awards, the Association of Career and Technical Education (ACTE).
“This is an exciting time for the SA Works team, who deserves this award one hundred percent,” said Richard Perez, President and CEO of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. “Whether SA Works goes any farther in the statewide and national levels, this is a significant accomplishment and one that the team should savor and enjoy.”
