The Chamber of Commerce’s Military Affairs Council sub-committee, Woman to Woman, Leader to Leader, met last Thursday for a wonderful evening of networking at San Antonio’s premier performing arts venue – The Tobin Center.

Dianne Warren, Bounceology Founder, hosted the event along with Tobin Center staff, who welcomed more than 45 committee members and provided a behind-the-scene tour of the Center. Renee Flores, the Chamber’s 2016 Chairman, thanked the Tobin for their graciousness in opening the doors just for the group and also thanked the committee for establishing valuable working relationships with our military partners.

The Woman to Woman, Leader to Leader committee strives to advocate for women at the senior-level, promoting awareness of the unique leadership skills our female executives possess. Members include senior-level executive business women along with senior-level women serving in key positions as Senior Executive Service, Non-Commissioned, and Commissioned Officers within a variety of Military branches in San Antonio.

Many of these women have enjoyed the benefit of establishing long-term working and personal relationships and are able to make the transition from Military to Civilian Business through these connections.  The Committee is always looking for Chamber Member organizations who have senior-level women leaders within a variety of industries who are willing to assist their military counterparts in creating important contacts as they transition to the Civilian Executive Business sector.

The ultimate goal of this committee is to keep these talented and valuable military leaders in our great City as integral key leaders in our business community, as well as to encourage the growth of women owned and led businesses
