The deadline to apply for the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio’s (BHFSA) Community Impact Grant is Friday, July 15, 2016. Grass-root organizations, churches and smaller nonprofits that help meet the health and wellness needs of communities in Bexar County and surrounding areas are strongly encouraged to apply. Funding will be awarded for programs that serve residents in the Foundation’s eight-county geographic area—Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina and Wilson. A total of $6 million in funding will be awarded in 2016 through the BHFSA’ s Community Impact Grants, Responsive Grants and scholarships. The Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio is also accepting nominations for the “Spirit of Health” award designed to acknowledge and recognize the accomplishments of an individual or organization for their leadership and service in improving the health of the community.
