Last week, the Chamber participated in the launch of the Dare to Listen campaign, which is conducted by Texas Public Radio with support from the John L. Santikos Charitable Foundation. This important public service campaign dares participants to listen to new content, sources, and opinions and acknowledge that we don’t have to agree, we simply have to be willing to truly listen to one another.

“As the leader of the Chamber, every day I listen to and consider feedback and opinions from members, partners and others and use that input to shape the organization’s direction,” said Chamber President and CEO Richard Perez. “Whether I agree with conflicting thoughts or opinions, it is important to listen and recognize what others have to say.” Following the launch of the Dare to Listen campaign, Perez took the dare and committed “to be open and truly hear you.”

The Chamber encourages members to join TRP and take the Dare to Listen challenge. For more information on the campaign or to take the dare, visit
