For the second year, the Chamber, Workforce Solutions Alamo (WSA), SA Works and Education Service Center-20 (Region 20) will be hosting a career fair for students between the ages of 16 and 24 on Saturday, September 24th from 8:30 am-12:30 pm at the Region 20 offices (1314 Hines Road).
With the theme of “Begin with your end in Mind,” this career fair will provide participants an opportunity to not only meet with employers about career opportunities in San Antonio, but also have the ability to hear from experts on how to build a stellar resume, prepare for job interviews, and walk into any new job ready to work.
“It is vital for students to have as many opportunities to interact with business members to learn what jobs are out there and how can they prepare for those jobs,” said Richard Perez, President & CEO of the Chamber. “We are proud to help bring this type of opportunity together for our community, because we represent the businesses who need these talented young people to fill the jobs of today and tomorrow.”
So, how can you help? The Chamber is looking for volunteer businesses who are interested in participating in this career fair. Employers will be asked to talk with students about the careers in high-demand within their respective company and industry.
If you are interested in participating, please email Priscilla Camacho for more information on this upcoming opportunity.
If you have students who might be interested in attending, please register ONLINE.
