On November 29, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce was honored to welcome more than 70 guests for an evening reception for the 433rd Airlift Wing (AW). The 433rd AW, also known as the “Alamo Wing”, is San Antonio’s Air Force Reserve unit with approximately 3,400 members stationed at Lackland Air Force Base.
The 433rd AW hosted leaders from the 514th Air Mobility Wing and more than 30 civic leaders from the communities surrounding Lakehurst, New Jersey’s Joint Base McGuire-Dix. The guests attended a Civic Leaders Tour and hoped to gain insight into San Antonio’s strong working relationship between our military partners at Joint Base San Antonio and the wide variety of industries and businesses throughout the City.
Col. David Pavey, Commander of the 514th Air Mobility Wing, and Col Dennis Duffy, Vice Commander of the Air Mobility Wing, joined Col Gregory Haynes, the 433rd AW Operations Group Commander, in highlighting the importance of networking and offering proactive support for our Reserve Component Service Men and Women, who are invaluable partners within our local communities and businesses and who, most importantly, sacrifice to ensure our Nation’s security and defense.
Special thanks to all of our Chamber members who continue to advocate and support our military neighbors. We are proud to be a part of “Military City USA”.
