Powered by the San Antonio Chamber, Build Sec Foundry (BSF), an incubator focused on launching and accelerating new product security startups in San Antonio, partnered with the Austin Technology Incubator to host Cybersecurity Night at the Entrepreneurs Lounge during South by Southwest (SXSW) on Saturday, March 11.
In its tenth year, the Entrepreneurs Lounge is a prestigious event, a unique gathering of top-tier venture capitalists, press, bloggers, startups and entrepreneurs that convenes at Fogo de Chao in downtown Austin during the SXSW Festival. BSF collaborated with the hosts of the event to focus the Saturday night gathering around security startups, investment firms and enterprises. BSF took this opportunity to showcase its three member startups, Infocyte, Privasera, and Level Effect. The founders of these three companies were on-hand to meet with the hundreds of attendees that came through the Lounge, each speaking about their startups, products, and company progress as part of Build Sec Foundry.
This year’s SXSW festival saw a large San Antonio presence due to the nonprofit Choose San Antonio, who promoted San Antonio’s lifestyle, jobs, and company ecosystem to SXSW attendees.
Build Sec Foundry was launched in 2016 through the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s Cybersecurity Industry Council and CyberSecurity San Antonio program. The incubator focuses on supporting early-stage, high-growth product security startups and helping them mature and begin to scale into market. Build Sec Foundry is currently working with three portfolio member startups – Infocyte, Privasera and Level Effect.
