The Chamber’s Military Affairs Council was honored to host the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Veterans Knowledge Community on Tuesday, March 14. More than 50 people attended, representing the invaluable supporters of our military service members who seek to continue education in institutions of higher learning. Directors of Veterans Services for several universities and advocates for veteran benefits attended to find out how the Chamber supports similar efforts in Military City, USA.
Chamber President and CEO Richard Perez, thanked attendees for their support and assistance in ensuring our veterans receive the important educational benefits and increased learning opportunities in the career fields they choose. Ken McRae, Vice Chair for NASPA’s Veterans Knowledge Community, was excited to come to San Antonio and share his passion for the military and to continue developing NASPA’s networks and connections in colleges around the United States, sharing his insight and best practices.
The Chamber advocates for our military service men and women in many ways, especially when it comes to making a smooth transition from active duty service to civilian jobs or continuing their education. We are proud to recognize NASPA’s Veterans Knowledge Community for their continued commitment to assisting our veterans and their families.
