Chamber and SA Works set to host TWC on Texas Internship Challenge

The Texas Internship Challenge is a recommendation from the Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Education Agency, and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to the Governor’s Office, as part of the Tri-Agency Initiative, challenging industry and employer partners to offer more paid internships for Texas students. TXInternshipChallenge.com is a free site where employers can post positions and students can apply for them.

Representatives from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) will provide participants an introduction to the campaign and an orientation including demos of the website TXInternshipChallenge.com. Attendees are encouraged to bring their personal devices for site trial and registration. The TWC team will have a few available and will be on site to provide one-on-one support of site usage. To register, please bring your organization federal employer identification number (FEIN) or a social security number (SSN).

The Texas Internship Challenge Orientation and Training will be held on Thursday, May 18th from 11:30 am- 1:00 pm at the Chamber’s Northside Business Center location (1100 NW Loop 410, Suite 109).
