More than 400 Chamber members and community leaders have registered to attend the New City Council Reception on Thursday, June 22. The Chamber is co-hosting the event with the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the RK group, along with other influential community and business partners. The event is a prime opportunity to interact, strengthen ties, and forge new relationships with San Antonio’s new leadership.
San Antonio welcomes seven new faces to the City Council, including Mayor Ron Nirenberg:

The San Antonio business community understands the integral role that our city leaders play in ensuring San Antonio maintains a business friendly environment and thriving economy. The Chamber will work closely with new City leadership to address issues and opportunities important to our members. We will remain the primary resource for gathering input from the business community.

City Council will be officially sworn into office today during a public inauguration ceremony, taking place at 6:30 p.m. at the Arneson River Theatre. They will then take their seats on the dais Thursday for their first City Council meeting.
