SA to DC 2018 Kicks Off

Yesterday afternoon we hosted our 2018 SA to DC kick-off meeting at the beautiful Embassy Suites Hotel at Brooks. Leo Gomez, President and CEO of Brooks, who is serving as 2018 Chair of the SA to DC trip, hosted us on the new property. This year’s SA to DC trip will take place January 29 – February 1, 2018.

The kick-off commenced with a collaborative planning activity with new and previous participants. Shaun Kennedy, San Antonio Regional Chairman of Texas Capital Bank and the San Antonio Chamber’s 2018 Chair, began with opening remarks amplifying the significance of our presence in D.C. every year. His enthusiasm and warm charm encouraged attendees to expect even greater results next year.

Attendees were also enthusiastic to be part of a combined effort with a hands-on approach.  Together with our partner organizations, the Free Trade Alliance of San Antonio, North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, we will be working to implement recommendations received from past participants yesterday.

This was the first of a series of five planning sessions scheduled for our 40th Annual SA to DC event for 2018, which will bring us back to Brooks for our final meeting.
