Be an advocate for San Antonio in Washington, DC

Next year marks our 40th annual SA to DC advocacy visit. For decades, members of our local business community, community-based organizations, state and local elected officials, and military personnel travel to D.C. to discuss the specific needs and concerns of the South Central Texas region with key members of the Pentagon, Congress and Administration. Make plans to join us January 29 – February 1, 2018.

Our SA to DC mission began as a visit to thank Pentagon officials in order share our support and vision for growth in the San Antonio military installations. Today, this annual event has transformed into a full advocacy and networking trip, raising a multitude of important issues facing the San Antonio area. The current political climate and challenging economic times create an atmosphere of urgency for keeping San Antonio’s needs top of mind with decision makers on a federal level.  It is imperative that our communities’ leaders make their voice heard in Washington D.C.

For more than a decade, the San Antonio Chamber has joined forces with our partners at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Free Trade Alliance, and recently the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. This year we are proud to announce that the San Antonio Mobility Coalition has joined us as a partner.

With our strongest business and civic leaders advocating with us in Washington, D.C., we have captured the attention of Congress, White House Officials, Cabinet Members and military leaders, and with more than 120 senior business leaders, elected officials and community leaders in attendance, our presence cannot be discounted and our voice will be strong.

Please join us on January 29 – February 01, 2018, in our mission to advocate for our community.
