San Antonio – The Women Veteran Entrepreneurship Training (WVET) program, a collaborative initiative between LiftFund and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), is accepting applications for its inaugural Women Veteran Business Accelerator through December 1, 2017.
The primary beneficiaries of the accelerator are female veterans and female military spouses who own and operate a small business in the state of Texas. Up to 20 small business owners will be selected to participate in nine weeks of expert-led workshops and webinars focused on sales, marketing, finance, and transitioning from veteran to business owners. This program will run from January 18 – March 13, 2018, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:30pm.
To be considered for the program, veterans must have honorably served, regardless of length of time. Participants must be able to attend and actively participate in at least 14 of 16 sessions. Participants must be established business owners actively managing at least 50% of the business. The business must be in operations and making sales, and be committed to growth. This program is only open to participants who reside and have businesses located in the state of Texas.
