Opportunity to secure Non-Stop Flight between San Antonio and Washington, DC

In April, an effort to secure a non-stop flight between San Antonio International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in the U.S. House of Representatives was thwarted by opposition from airlines. Many of you engaged legislators by writing and calling with your support for the long-overdue route, and we thank you for your efforts.

There is currently another opportunity in the U. S. Senate to secure a non-stop SA to DC flight, through the reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which must be passed by September 30.  Due to this approaching date and the tight Senate calendar, the window of opportunity is narrow. In order to bring attention to and build support for the effort, our city created a website, which we encourage you to visit and register with in order to stay up-to-date on the issue.

Please visit this website and share with your networks: http://www.missionnonstop.com/

We will keep you updated on the efforts to secure this necessary route and thank you for your support.
