Earlier this month, the Chamber announced that CyberSecurity San Antonio would join Texas Cyber Summit in a partnership to host their first international security conference. The conference, which is being held at the Wyndam Riverwalk from October 12-14, will bring together information security professionals, executives, and white hat hackers from around the world.
The Summit has already drawn much attention from industry professionals and boasts an impressive list of guest speakers. Two of the events keynote speakers include Jeff Moss, founder and creator of Black Hat Briefings and DEFCON and David Kennedy, founder of DerbyCon and creator of a number of tools such as PenTesters Framework.
Over the course of two days, the event will focus on critical infrastructure and the vulnerabilities that exist in those systems. Events hosted by the Industrial Controls Group, demonstrating the vulnerabilities in supervisory control and data acquisition equipment will provide background and information to support more robust industrial controls and critical infrastructure.
“At CyberSecurity San Antonio, we work to further the brand of San Antonio’s cybersecurity ecosystem and the Texas Cyber Summit will surely be a capstone event for the community,” Director of CyberSecurity Will Garrett said. “The lineup of keynotes, along with the technical opportunities and training that will be provided will make this a capstone event in San Antonio for years to come.”
