iEmpower Event focuses on empowering thought mentorship

On Saturday, March 2, 2019, iEmpower, an organization that “exists to inspire every woman to BE empowered and engaged, and to foster a culture of community” held a workshop at the beautiful Sunset Depot focused on empowering through mentorship.  The program started with great networking and a packed crowd in attendance, ready to listen and learn. With March being Women’s History Month, this event featured President and CEO of CPS Energy and the 2019 Chair of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Paula Gold-Williams, who spoke about her experiences personally and professionally regarding mentoring and growing talent. Through her presentation and great dialogue from the audience, women and men alike were able to dispel some of the myths of what mentoring is, what it involves, and how everyone can make a difference.

iEmpower is an organization co-founded by Marisol Weymouth & Yorka Velasco-Caballero.  If you like to find out more information about joining and/or volunteering, please email info@iempower.org to find out how to get started.
