On Tuesday, your San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hit the polls to cast their votes for the May 4 Election. The Chamber strongly believes that civic engagement and participation in the political process is a vital component of our community’s success.
It is critical that all San Antonians are civically engaged and vote in our upcoming election. The Mayor and City Council help create and vote on policies that will directly impact you. From streets and sidewalks to drainage, housing, and public safety, important issues that improve our quality of life and shape our community for future generations should be priorities.
Unfortunately, many San Antonians who are eligible to vote have stayed home this election season. As of April 30, only 66,875 ballots have been cast, down from 77,589 during early voting in 2017.
If you care about the future of your city and neighborhoods, go out and vote. If you don’t think your vote counts – it does. Now is the time to make your voice heard and help elect the candidates you feel will move this city in the right direction.
