Two new pyramids open to tourists in Egypt — just in time for Chamber travelers

Although two ancient burial tombs near the capital city of Cairo have stood on Egyptian soil for millennia, the sites have finally opened to visitors for the first time since 1965. The Bent Pyramid, and its smaller satellite pyramid, are the main fixtures of the Memphis Necropolis, which is the final resting place of many Old Kingdom pharaohs.

The news of the pyramids reopening is exceptionally good news for the Chamber, as members who accompany us on our membership trip to Egypt in 2020 may have the opportunity to tour the sites. It’s yet another reason why there’s never been a better time to visit Egypt than in 2020, and there is no better guide than your Chamber. If you haven’t already, make plans to attend our next Egypt info session on August 15 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at our Northside Office. For more information on your Chamber’s trip to Egypt 2020, visit our event page or contact Cynthia Rodriguez at cyrodriguez@sachamber.org.
