2020 Census Count Me In website is now live

The 2020 Census is an important opportunity for San Antonio residents to secure necessary funding for our community, spur economic growth, and prepare our city for the future. There is more than $800 billion at stake for Texas, and we cannot afford to miss out on money for schools, hospitals, roads, and other quality of life programs. It is critical that every San Antonian is counted.

To ensure a complete count, your Chamber has partnered with the City of San Antonio and Bexar County to lead a Complete Count Committee. In this role, we’re urging businesses, churches, and civic organizations to use their communications and membership networks to encourage people to complete their questionnaires. The Complete Count Committee has been working diligently to develop a strategic plan that includes a massive public awareness campaign.

To help boost awareness, the Committee created a website, which is now live and can be found at On the site you can find specific information about the local impact of the census, an overview of the Committee’s work and structure, a toolkit with resources to use in our community, and a hub to view recent census-related news articles and upcoming local events. Additional resources will continue to be added, so please check back regularly.

Your Chamber will also be launching a website soon wholly dedicated to this effort, complete with a toolkit employers and organizations can use to encourage people in their spheres of influence to complete the Census. Once launched, we hope that you will utilize the website in your efforts and encourage community members to do so as well.

We are just seven months away from Census Day on April 2.  Count on your Chamber to keep you updated on efforts to get a complete count in the 2020 Census. For more information regarding the 2020 Census, contact Stephanie Reyes, VP of Public Policy at or by phone at 210-229-2162.
