Chamber and City of San Antonio Continue Stakeholder Engagement on Immigration Integration Plan

On Wednesday, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the City of San Antonio held another stakeholder engagement event at the San Antonio Central Library. We are nearing the goal of developing a community-informed plan to make San Antonio a welcoming community to newcomers.

This exercise further defined barriers and recommendations developed by attendees at the July 2019 session held at Hardberger Park. The plan is slated to be released in January 2020 as part of the Gateways for Growth initiative, a program established by the New American Economy (NAE) and Welcoming America.

Several stakeholder events have taken place throughout the year, but if you would like to contribute input, you may still do so by using one of the following methods:

  1. Survey for stakeholders who are not immigrantshttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DKX2WP6
  2. Survey for immigrant residents:

Text Immigrant to 55000 and the survey link will be sent to your mobile device.

You can learn more about the economic contributions made by immigrants in San Antonio through this report produced by NAE earlier this year.
