Your San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s Senior Enlisted Advisory Committee, a sub-committee of our Military Affairs Council, met this week, and we were honored to host Command Master Sergeant Christopher Lantagne, Command Chief of the 502d Air Base Wing and Joint Base San Antonio. Chief Lantagne provided an update on the anticipated changes to Joint Base San Antonio’s leadership through the summer and important information related to their workforce, infrastructure, and partnership initiatives and priorities. Meeting attendees heard about the base’s efforts toward facilities, such as family housing, dormitories and dining hall facilities, as well as important priorities of mitigating encroachment and ensuring the safety of personnel at the installation entrances. Additional efforts continue toward strategic planning for Kelly Field, as well as ensuring top notch facilities are available to support the quality of life for Service Members and their families across all installation locations, to include JBSA Morale, Welfare, and Recreation sites and resources.
Chief Lantagne also highlighted the important work being accomplished through the P4 - Partnership Programs and thanked the Chamber and our members for our consistent and invaluable support through our SA to DC visits to the Pentagon and to Capitol Hill. When asked about specific needs during this challenging time, Chief Lantagne said, “Maintaining the communication between our military partners and our community members will continue to be a high priority. We enjoy great relationships and hope to be a part of the recovery of the City, and we look forward to your continued support of our missions and our military service members, as well.”
