San Antonio U.S. Census response rate still lower than national average

You have the chance to shape the future of San Antonio for the next 10 years. All you have to do is complete the 2020 Census from the comfort of your own home – online, by phone or by mail. The Census is a once in a decade opportunity for you to become civically engaged and help build a better community.  A complete census count means more federal dollars for our schools, roads, public transit systems and police departments. It also means more political representation at the State Capitol and in Washington DC.

While we have made great progress in increasing our response rate, San Antonio can do better. San Antonio’s response rate is 58.8%, just above Texas response rate of 56.8% but below the national response rate of 62%. If you have already completed the 2020 Census, we will need your help to spread the word to your friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues that they too should complete the census.
