One City Celebration provides virtual Gala alternative

In any other year, this December would normally feature our 126th Annual Gala, our largest and most prestigious event of the year. While large, in-person gatherings are not feasible, your Chamber would still like to invite you to our largest, most impactful, and final event of the year: The One City Celebration.

This event will be the culmination of an interesting and unexpected 2020, which set in motion the need for an exciting, impressive, and inclusive vision for 2021. During the program, we will detail our plans for one of the Chamber’s 2021 priorities – One City. This event will still be exciting and entertaining, just as our annual Chamber Gala has been for years. If you attend one event this year, this should be at the top of the list.

We invite you to join us for a late afternoon of fun and celebration (complete with charcuterie and a trivia competition), along with a sprinkling of Chamber tradition associated with our Annual Gala and the transition of one Chair of the Board to another.

During this must-see, virtual event, we will honor our 2020 Chair of the Board Adam Hamilton, President and CEO of Southwest Research Institute, and the 2020 leadership team. We will recognize Adam and his team’s hard work and accomplishments from this past year. Since stepping into the role in the summer of 2019, Adam has been the longest serving Chamber Board Chair in the past 50 years.

Additionally, we will introduce our 2021 Chair of the Board Hope Andrade, Co-Founder and Partner of GO RIO San Antonio River Cruises, who has been the architect of our 2021 vision for One City and a tireless advocate for San Antonio and its business community for many years, as a State appointed official, successful entrepreneur, and tireless local appointed official.

Make plans today to join us for this exciting celebration of the resiliency of San Antonio and a look ahead to One City. Since this event will not be recorded or shared at a later date, register today to “attend” and be among the first to get the scoop on the Chamber’s One City initiative. Just like the Gala, there is no second chance or later showing.

Our work is only made possible because of the support of our members and community partners. Thank you for 2020, and we look forward to what 2021 brings. Register for and sponsor the One City Celebration here. We look forward to hosting you.
