Chamber hosts successful Fiesta Tech Trek 2021

There was no better way to celebrate the versatility and ingenuity of technology than beating the odds and the heat with this year’s Virtual Tech Trek, hosted by the San Antonio Chamber of CommerceFiesta Tech Trek 2021 took place on Tuesday, June 22, through a virtual event platform, Whova. 

The spirit of Fiesta lived on through this virtual space as almost 30 booths and over 275 participants celebrated San Antonio’s vibrant tech industry. The event booths were filled with tech advocates, spanning from several UTSA and WGU organizations to US Air Force Cyber Command and the FBIParticipants had the chance to enter raffles for free giveaways, rewards, and a 3D-printed Tech Trek Fiesta Medal created by Canopener Labs who also participated in the event. With free handouts, chatrooms, and live demo opportunities for participants to meet with leading industry experts, Tech Trek was humming with the sound of the tech community convening and  connecting.

Several Chamber members who participated told stories of new connections, business leads, and nascent collaborations. Students and educators alike had the opportunity to speak with hiring agents, tech innovators, and industry leaders about the education of future leaders and potential for internship and job opportunities. With a deeply invested tech community, there is only excitement looking forward to Tech Trek 2022 as the Chamber celebrates San Antonio’s tech industry and its continued growth and success.
