For more than 40 years, the San Antonio Chamber and our partners – the North San Antonio Chamber, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber, the San Antonio Mobility Coalition, and the South SA Chamber & West SA Chamber – have proudly led thousands of members of our business community and elected officials on our annual SA to DC trip to advocate for our region’s economic prosperity. We recognize that the best way to influence our members of Congress, Administration Officials, and Leaders at the Pentagon to shape funding decisions and the direction of policy is to meet with them face to face in D.C.
During SA to DC, we pride ourselves on providing attendees with direct access to top-notch, highly influential leaders during our morning programs, afternoon issue team meetings, and evening receptions. Unfortunately, because of the recent surge of COVID-19 across the country, we are learning that we will not be able to meet in person with many key legislators to share information about the needs of our community and advocate for the important and impactful issues in our Federal Agenda. On Friday, we sent out a survey to all registered attendees for our 2021 SA to DC trip, and based on the feedback we received, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our trip scheduled for October 19 – 22, 2021.
Ensuring a quality and meaningful experience for all of our attendees is critical and essential to the trip’s success, and the Chamber team is already hard at work planning for our 2022 trip to the nation’s capital.
SA to DC is a more than 40-year tradition that has reaped huge benefits for this community, and we invite you to join us next year! In the meantime, you can count on your Chamber to continue to communicate the issues in our Federal Agenda with our leaders in Washington D.C.
