The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s Aerospace Committee will hold their final meeting of the year on Thursday, November 18 at 3:30 to discuss aerospace education. The committee will be hosted by the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (102 Mabry Dr.), located at Port San Antonio. SAMSAT invites all of our members to stay after the meeting for an open house to discover how to get involved in inspiring San Antonio youth to pursue STEM careers.
Our guests for the meeting include Jay Battles, the STEM and CTE director for Southwest ISD, who will discuss their unique aircraft build program and how they aim to update it over the next few months, and Eric Warner, the Government and Military Affairs Specialist with the City of San Antonio Aviation Department. Eric will present recent efforts to build aerospace education programming in San Antonio and explain how others can get involved.
We look forward to seeing all of you in person on Thursday at SAMSAT. We will also offer a zoom option for those that cannot join us at the Port. Contact Jeff Fair, VP of Economic Development and Cybersecurity, at 210-229-2199 if you have questions.
