The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Re-names Tribute to Women Business Leaders and Announces the 2025 Honorees
SAN ANTONIO - The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce announced today that its signature women’s awards program is being re-named the Mary Rose Brown Tribute to Women Business Leaders, in honor of Brown’s legacy of community service and achievements as a business leader.
This year’s event, which is being presented by PNC, will be held Thursday, May 15 at The Witte Museum and will recognize six local women leaders. The honorees are a veritable who’s who of San Antonio’s top business and community leaders, including:
- Legacy Award: Janet Holliday, President & CEO, The CE Group
- Executive Award: Julia Rendon Reinhart, Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, Valero Energy Corporation
- Brenda Vickrey Johnson Award for Small Business: Mona Helmy, CEO, Helmy Plastics
- Hope Award: Andi Rodriguez, Vice President, Cultural Placemaking, Centro San Antonio
- Freedom Award: Sarah Baray, PhD, CEO, Pre-K 4 SA
- Promise Award: Katie Reynolds, Director of Corporate Affairs, Silver Eagle Beverages
The selection of these outstanding honorees was overseen by a selection committee, chaired by Hope Andrade, former Texas Secretary of State, a former Tribute honoree and a Greater San Antonio Chamber board member, and Blakely Fernandez, a partner with Bracewell and a former Tribute honoree. This committee carefully reviewed the nominations to identify six outstanding individuals who exemplify the virtues and character inspiring greatness, both in their professional careers and personal lives.
“On behalf of the committee, we are deeply honored to recognize these remarkable women who are setting the standard for excellence in our community,” said Andrade. “These leaders are having a transformative impact on San Antonio through their contributions to their organizations, philanthropic and volunteer efforts, and mentorship of the women coming up behind them.”
Fernandez added, “Our honorees represent many of the qualities that made Mary Rose Brown such an exceptional business and community leader, so I think it’s fitting we are naming this awards program in her honor this year. Not only are these women driving the success of their organizations, but they are also leading many of the community initiatives that are moving San Antonio forward.”
Each year, the Greater San Antonio Chamber celebrates women business leaders making a difference in San Antonio through the Tribute. The awards honor individuals who embody leadership qualities that have driven not only their success but also the success of those around them.
