The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Council brings together leaders across healthcare, education, and workforce development to strengthen the region’s healthcare ecosystem. Through collaboration and strategic partnerships, the Council works to close workforce gaps, build sustainable talent pipelines, and improve health outcomes for all San Antonians.
The Council advances this mission through three core focus areas:
Education
Partnering with K–12 and post-secondary institutions to expand awareness of healthcare careers and strengthen education and training pathways aligned with industry needs.
Industry Insight
Collecting and sharing real-time feedback on workforce demand, emerging roles, and skills gaps to better align education, policy, and employer priorities.
Workforce Development
Supporting clear pathways into healthcare careers through internships, training programs, reskilling opportunities, and military-to-civilian transitions—ensuring a strong, diverse, and future-ready workforce.
