Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is once again offering “Tango in the Courtyard” room packages as the perfect way to enjoy a relaxing getaway complete with an evening of superb entertainment. On select Friday and Saturday nights, professional tango dancers perform in the center of the hotel’s large third-floor Courtyard. The Courtyard is ringed with deluxe rooms on the third and fourth floor. Guests enjoy the show from their private third floor patio or private fourth floor balcony. This one-of-a-kind experience offers guests an evening of entertainment in a completely socially distanced setting.
The evening’s 7:30-9:30 p.m. performance transports guests to Plaza Dorrego in Buenos Aires, while watching the mesmerizing dance sets and enjoying a bottle of Malbec and Vigilante, a traditional Argentinean cheese dessert. The two-hour performance features a variety of Tango and related Latin dance styles, from the traditional version of ballroom Tango to the more relaxed style of Argentinean street tango. For each set, the dancers wear unique and distinctive outfits.

The dancers are Luisa Vasquez, a native of Colombia, and Julio Torres, who is from Puerto Rico. Their cultural backgrounds instilled a passion in both for the wide variety of expressive Latin dance genres. Vasquez has been featured on the popular television show, “America’s Got Talent.”
Tango is a partner and social dance that originated in the 1880s along the Rio de la Plata, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay. Its roots lie in African, Native South American and European cultures. It is one of the world’s most famous partner dances and is renowned for its vibrant and playful style of movement, rich expressions and the passion displayed by the performers.
The Tango in the Courtyard package includes the two hours of live entertainment, a bottle of Malbec wine with a signature Valencia-style corkscrew, a Vigilante cheese tray, valet parking and a red rose upon arrival.
