As part of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and City of San Antonio Air Service Task Force’s efforts to improve the delivery of air service at the San Antonio airport, a delegation from San Antonio traveled to Dallas yesterday to meet with the route planning experts at American Airlines. Arthur Coulombe, the Air Service Task Force Chair; Carlos Contreras, Assistant City Manager; Tom Jones, Aviation Director; and Dave Petersen, San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President, met with a group of seven American Airlines network planning and government affairs executives to discuss options, particularly in the pursuit of non-stop service to Washington Reagan National. These talks were a good start in developing a relationship and understanding so that we can continue to support American Airlines' growth in San Antonio and can benefit from increased and better air service.
In addition, this effort can always benefit from the input of our members, if you would like to contribute, we have provided a template for a letter of support.
Once completed, please send the letter on your company or organization's letterhead to Ruben Gonzalez atrgonzalez@sachamber.org.
