On May 25, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce joined the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio in celebrating a major milestone with the opening of its new two-story Goldsbury Foundation Lobby, The Santa Rosa Chapel, CHEF Teaching Kitchen, Café, and Child Life Activity Center.
Over the past four years, the hospital has undergone a significant transformation to become a world-class children’s hospital offering comprehensive programs and integrated services to meet the health care needs of children throughout the region.
The transformation was made possible through an academic partnership with Baylor College of Medicine. The Hospital has recruited a team of 150 top-notch pediatric subspecialists from around the world advancing the level of care for children in the San Antonio community.
During the celebration, Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller and Rabbi Samuel Stahl provided blessings and prayers for the physicians and associates who care for our community’s children and families. The Transformation Celebration included a heart-warming special performance from choirs at Vineyard Ranch Elementary, Wilderness Oak Elementary, St. Matthew Catholic School, and St. Luke Catholic School, as well as the ballerinas of Dance Elean. More than 500 people watched from the audience, most with tears in their eyes as they viewed the Hospital’s award-winning music video featuring Rachel Platten’s Fight Song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv4GPcWaQFc.
