What goodies do you have lying around your business, waiting to be used? Whatever it may be, your Chamber encourages you to take part in KLRN’s Blazing Gavels auction this week.
Join us and tens of thousands of other donors and bidders around San Antonio in the two-week event, which runs from June 8-11 and 15-18 after 7 p.m. What can you donate to the auction? Just about anything!
“As long as it’s not alive,” said John Costello, Vice President of Events at KLRN. “We’ll basically take it all, from fajitas to fiestas.”
Your Chamber is sponsoring Blazing Gavels and will be featured at the auction on June 15. Our President & CEO Richard Perez will even perform auctioneer duties that night. We’re donating several items to the auction, most notably a full table at our 2016 Gala later this year, which is valued at $3,600.
If you’re looking to get in on the bidding yourself, a wide range of goods and services will be available for purchase. Advertising, hotel stays, tickets to theater or sports events, business services, life coaching and more will be up for bid. You could even claim a purebred Longhorn Steer from Red McCombs’s ranch. With a diverse selection of auction items, finding the item you want will surely be an exciting adventure.
The Chamber has supported the Blazing Gavels auction since its inception 50 years ago, and we urge you to submit items for sale or take a look at what’s available.
