This past Friday, all of the Chamber’s Good-to-Great-to-Global Committees got together for their last meeting as they finalized their reports on how to make San Antonio competitive globally. Each committee brought varied recommendations, which included an open data program, a Biosciences incubator and increased connectivity among all amenities, residences, schools and businesses. Committees also discussed collaborative efforts and recommendations that would support all three industry sectors (cybersecurity, biosciences and healthcare, and cultural preservation and celebration), including direct flights, a tier-one university as well as an arts and sciences school for grades K-12. The taskforce has been working hard since June and will continue to work on developing an implementation plan on how to make San Antonio more globally competitive. The G3 Taskforce will finalize their report and present it to the Chamber Board of Directors on November 17.
