Student Aid San Antonio is proud to share that one of our partners, Café College, is ready to help you and your students with the next step in the financial aid process.
Step 1: Walk in to Café College on a date listed below for one-on-one assistance completing your FAFSA or TASFA application! Step 2: Walk out with a piece of pie! It’s that easy! Event dates include: Saturday, November 5th, 12th, & 19th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Café College (131 El Paso St., San Antonio, TX).
What do you need to fill out the 2017-2018 FAFSA? Here’s a checklist for DEPENDENT students! You should have the following information with you to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):
- Your Social Security number and your parents' Social Security numbers (ITINs and SSNs issued for work only cannot be used on FAFSA)
- Your email address and an email address for one of your parents (to create FSA ID Usernames and Passwords)
- If parents are married, know MM/YYYY of marriage. If separated/divorced, know MM/YYYY of separation/divorce.
- Dates of birth for you and your parents
- Your driver's license number, if you have one
- Your Alien Registration Number if you are not a U.S. citizen
- 2015 IRS income tax returns, including W-2's for you and for your parents *You may be able to use the Data Retrieval Tool to retrieve and insert tax information electronically from the IRS into your FAFSA.
- Records of untaxed income, such as child support received or paid out, interest income, and veterans non-education benefits, for you and for your parents
- Cash, savings, and checking account balances; worth of investments, including real estate (but not including the home in which you live); and business and farm assets for you and for your parents
