The Texas Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education, or TX FAME, is looking for talented young individuals for the Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) Program at St. Philips College!
The AMT Program is unique, because students must be accepted into the college program and hired by a participating company in an ‘Earn While you Learn’ model. Students will attend classes at the St. Philips SW Campus a couple days a week and work at their sponsoring company the rest of the week, immediately applying what they’re learning in the workplace and earning money to help pay for college. Participating companies include CPS Energy, H-E-B, Takata, and Toyota.
If you know of a student interested in applying for the program or an educator interested in having TX FAME speak to his or her class about this wonderful opportunity, please visit www.txfame.com and fill out the interest form!
If you are with a company interested in getting involved with TX FAME, please contact Pooja Tripathi with Bexar County’s Economic Development Department.
